Experiencing explicit content alongside parents can often be awkward.
However, this doesn’t seem to be a problem for Damian Hurley, who recently took charge of directing his mother, Elizabeth Hurley, in bold scenes involving another woman.
At 21, the aspiring filmmaker has made his first foray into scriptwriting and direction with his upcoming enigmatic drama, Strictly Confidential.
Provocative images from the film reveal Elizabeth Hurley, playing the character Lily, seemingly being enticed by Natasha, portrayed by emerging actress Pear Chiravara.
In these scenes, Ms. Hurley, aged 58, clothed in a dazzling deep-cut metallic dress, takes a drink offered by Ms. Chiravara, who initiates an intimate gesture by kissing her chest.
Damian applauded his mother’s commitment to honouring her pledge to be a part of his maiden feature film, which concluded filming in December on the exotic Caribbean island of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Through a series of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, he expressed: ‘Everyone involved is deserving of public adoration (which will come in due time). However, right now, my admiration is for @ElizabethHurley1. She promised to feature in my first film during my initial short film’s creation in 2010 (when I was 8). True to her commitment, the moment this film got the go-ahead, she put everything aside to rush out to the beautiful Caribbean for assistance. Collaborating was a dream.’
The mystery drama narrates the story of Mia, played by CBBC star Georgia Lock, who is lured into a ‘realm of sex, deceit, and treachery’ as she tries to solve the mystery behind her best friend Rebecca’s suicide.
Praise for Damian, who graduated the previous summer, was forthcoming from his notable acquaintances, including Trinny Woodall, who commented, ‘What an incredible accomplishment Damien, your passion and dedication have truly reaped rewards. It certainly helps having the world’s best mama.’
Susannah Constantine further commented, ‘A perfect blend of beauty and intellect.’
This isn’t the first time Ms. Hurley has featured in her son’s creative ventures. She was also part of his short film, The Boy on the Beach, shot in Saint Kitts and Nevis, the previous year.
Ms. Hurley’s earlier roles include The Royals, Bedazzled, and Austin Powers.
In 2018, she unveiled that her son was the creative eye behind the numerous bikini photos on her Instagram.
Damian’s silhouette can be spotted in some of the shots, where she is seen enjoying the beach in a bikini.
She let this detail slip while sharing a series of enticing vacation photos of herself on Valentine’s Day.
Although the actress, who gained prominence at 29 through her Estee Lauder cosmetics campaign, delighted her 833,000 followers with the intriguing photos, her revelation sparked varied reactions, with some labeling the mother-son relationship as ‘peculiar’.
As reported by The Sun, Ms. Hurley commented: ‘[Damian] indeed clicks some [photos], but I also have other friends whom I can coax into clicking a few as well.’
Raised by his mother and her then-partner Arun Nayar in Gloucester, Damian has chosen to follow in his mother’s acting footsteps.
He has appeared in the Australian soap opera Neighbours and the American drama series The Royals.
His father, Steve Bing, an American entrepreneur and film producer, tragically took his own life in 2020, leaping from his 27th floor condo in Los Angeles
